MAGF has been granted the sum of 3,063,966.78€ by the Paying Agency within the Ministry for Resources and Rural Affairs to implement the following measures:

Measure 313 –€1.5 million for the  Encouragement of Tourism Activities– CLOSED ON THE 6TH MAY 2011

Measure 125 –€ 204,000 for the improvement of Access Roads and passageways to enable farmers to increase their productivity and deliver a better product to the consumer.

Closing date for receipt of applications – 02nd December 2011, 12.00p.m.

Measure 41 – Implementation of the Local Development Strategy

Action 1 : Culinary and Crafts Festival - €192,000 will be utilised to organize a grand festival that will boast of all the products and produce of the Majjistral region.

Action 2: €32,000  for support for direct marketing for the crafts and artisan sector.

Action 3 - €48,000 of small scale capital support for new and existing craft businesses.

Action 4 - €144,000 dedicated to the support of capital expenditures by arts, cultural and  musical societies.For MAGF, supporting such organizations means also supporting educators, enterntainers, employers and social clubs which offer a socialisation network for the young people who are increasingly at a rish of a number of social problems.

Closing date for receipt of applications – 03rdFebruary 2012, 12.00p.m.

Action 5 – Creation of a Rural Tourism Network for the territory:€176,800 will be dedicated to train the participants and market this network.   This network will offer hands on experiences to different sectors such as school children, tourists to enable them to gather knowledge about rural traditions and values.

Closing date for receipt of applications – 22nd June 2012, 12.00p.m.

Action 6 – Assistance to operators to create 3 distinctive products for the Majjistral Territory - €109,100 will be dedicated to the design and retail of 3 products symbolic of the Majjistral Territory.

Action 7 – Formation of the Foundation of Territorial Rangers - €176,000 invested for the formation of this association which will serve different roles including those of management of recreational outdoor areas etc.
